CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, a repeatedly convicted young man will stand trial for attempted murder of a pensioner and a number of property crimes
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 21-year-old resident of Inkerman, who had been convicted six times earlier. The investigating authorities accuse him of stealing a car, robbery, illegal entry into a home and attempted murder of a pensioner (part 1 of article 166, part 2 of article 162, part 1 of article 139, part 3 of article 30, part .1 article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in the Sledkom.
The Investigation Department for the Balaklava District established that during September and October 2022, a young man, while intoxicated, committed a series of crimes against the person and property of Inkerman residents.
The attacker, holding a grudge against an elderly neighbor, entered through the balcony into her apartment at the house on Yablochkova Street, where he tried to strangle the pensioner with a pillow and hands. The woman lost consciousness as a result of the injury. The young man, believing that he had killed a neighbor, fled the scene. However, the victim soon regained consciousness.
It was also established that a young man attacked a passerby near the house on Pogorelov Street and, threatening with a stick, stole a mobile phone. In addition, near Lineinaya Street, he stole a VAZ-21074 car parked at the side of the road, after which he was detained by police officers in the village of Lyubimovka— noted in the Sledkom.
At present, the investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, signing the indictment and sending the case to court.
