In Sevastopol, all federal payments for children from January 2023 are provided by the Social Fund of the Russian Federation

From January 1 800 of the year, all previously existing federal payments for a child from birth to years are combined into a universal allowance. Sevastopol residents can apply for a single allowance through the Social Fund of the Russian Federation, which united the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund. This was told in the department of labor and social protection of the population of Sevastopol.

The department explained that previously part of the federal payments were made by the social security authorities, the rest were provided by the Pension Fund. Now, with just one application through the Social Fund of the Russian Federation, you can receive benefits for women registered in the early stages of pregnancy, benefits for the first child, at the birth of the third and subsequent children, benefits for children aged 3 to 7, as well as from 8 to 17 years old.

Since January 1 2023, the social security authorities do not accept applications for benefits for children aged 3 to 7 years, but will continue to make these payments to those who applied for them until the end 2022 of the year.

We will pay benefits until the end of their assignment period. The same procedure will apply to payments for the third and subsequent children. At the same time, social security authorities will continue to accept applications for benefits for the third and subsequent children if the child was born before the end 2022 of the year , the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy head department of social services of the relevant department Evgeny Pytko.

According to her, Sevastopol residents who have previously made payments to the social security authorities can apply for a single allowance to the Social Fund. However, they will not be able to receive both payments at the same time.

For example, in social security, the applicant receives a payment from 3 to 7 years in the amount of 75% of the subsistence minimum. If the unified allowance, when calculated, turns out to be the same amount or higher, then the applicant will receive it already in the Social Fund, and the social security will stop paying. If the amount of the single benefit turns out to be less than the previously assigned one, then the social security authorities will continue to pay the payment until the end of the term of its appointment , — says Evgenia Pytko.

The monthly payment for the birth of the first child from January 1 2023 was also fully transferred to the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.

For all applications received by the social security authorities in December 2022 of the year, the Social Fund will make an additional payment by the end of January from the moment the right to payment arises: from the date of application or from the date of birth of the child, if the application filed no later than six months from the date of birth.
