The first day of an internship as a saleswoman ended in criminal liability for a local resident.
A representative of a shopping center contacted the Gagarinsky District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with a statement that an unidentified person had stolen five thousand rubles from the cash register at one of the outlets. As a result of the measures taken, the district police officer detained the suspect. She turned out to be a 22-year-old trainee at the outlet. The police established that the girl, wanting to get a job as a salesperson, came on the first day of her internship. Noticing that her colleague was distracted, she took five thousand rubles from the cash register and, citing poor health, left the workplace. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”; she faces up to two years in prison.
