In Sevastopol, at an interdepartmental reception of citizens, issues of legal assistance to children were discussed

A joint reception of citizens was held dedicated to World Children’s Day and All-Russian Day of Legal Assistance to Children. The reception was held by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol and representatives of various city structures: employees of the Departments of Education and Social Protection, the Office of Guardianship and Trusteeship, the Notary Office, the FSSP, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Ministry of Justice, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise, the Commission on Minors’ Affairs and others.

On behalf of the Sevastopol notary, the President of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, Olga Kalenkovich, took part in the work of the consultation center.

According to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol, Marina Peschanskaya, to effectively solve children’s problems, coordinated interaction between departments is necessary. Therefore, in order to quickly and effectively develop decisions on the issues of people seeking help, such consultation points are organized. Having come to an appointment with the Children’s Ombudsman, a person receives the necessary assistance from all departments at the same time that may be involved in this process.

The gathered experts reviewed about a dozen problematic family situations related to the protection of children’s rights.

The Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol holds similar joint receptions of citizens regularly with different structures — depending on the topic of issues that citizens address. However, despite the noble goal of protecting the interests of children, it is often impossible to solve some problems on the spot; in this case, according to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol, he takes the resolution of these issues under personal control.
