In Sevastopol at night, bad weather caused a commotion — Emergency Situations Ministry employees rescued people

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations responded last night to reports of incidents caused by bad weather in the region. Chronicle of events:

  • The work was carried out in the horticultural partnership “Rybak-5”. There, a private house and the surrounding area were flooded. The water rose almost one and a half meters. The man and woman were afraid that due to the incoming flow they would not be able to leave the house themselves. They were evacuated to a safe place by employees of the 6th fire and rescue unit of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. People stayed with loved ones.
  • In the Ternovsky forestry, a thunderstorm and rain took a tourist by surprise. A 27-year-old man did not check the weather forecast, got wet, got lost and contacted the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Rescuers from the Specialized Squad came to his aid: they found him and helped him get out of the forest.
  • In one day, more than a third of the monthly precipitation fell in Sevastopol. In addition to the emergency department, city rescuers and public utilities provided assistance to the population.
