In Sevastopol, awards were presented to workers in agriculture and the processing industry
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The second Sunday of October in Russia is the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers. On the eve of the holiday, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev presented awards to industry employees — winegrowers, winemakers, agronomists, bakers, engineers, technologists, craftsmen, and managers of city enterprises. The event was attended by State Duma deputies Tatyana Lobach and Dmitry Belik.
In Sevastopol, medium and small businesses are growing and developing, many people are engaged in farming, raising animals, building apiaries, growing natural fruits, vegetables, berries, mussels and oysters.
I often and with great pleasure come to Sevastopol enterprises. It’s always nice to see people who treat their work with such warmth and love. These are happy people: when you produce products that are so in demand by people, you cannot be unhappy. Everything that is done in Sevastopol is done with love, starting from the most delicious strawberries and wonderful bread and ending with what, in my opinion, is the best wine in our country— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the city.
He noted that the state and the Government of Sevastopol support enterprises operating in the field of agriculture and processing industry. Over ten years, the volume of state support exceeded 3 billion rubles. These funds were used to develop the wine industry and fisheries complex, to establish gardens, to grants, to modernize and update agricultural equipment, and to build greenhouses. This year, dozens of companies received state support totaling almost 700 million rubles — from farms to the largest taxpayers in the region.
It is expected that by the end of this year the average number of workers employed in agriculture, fishing and fish farming, food and beverage production will be 4.5 thousand people. Compared to last year, this is an increase of almost 1,000 people.
I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday. You are the people thanks to whom there is bread and wine, fish and meat, fruits and vegetables on our tables. I don’t know a single person who would be indifferent to our Sevastopol products. And today we thank all industry veterans, all employees and young professionalsnotes Tatyana Lobach.
The wine industry is experiencing a particular boom today. At the end of September, Sevastopol enterprises produced 22.8 million bottles of wine and sparkling wine — this is almost 40% higher than the same period last year. 16.5 million bottles were sold, which is 34% higher than the same period in 2023. Sevastopol wines win medals at various competitions.
When I come to Moscow, I always bring Sevastopol wines to my friends and relatives, and every time everyone admires their high quality. The same delight is caused by Sevastopol fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, and bread. Behind the creation of each product is the work of many people who invariably prove: Sevastopol is the best! Low bow to you,” Dmitry Belik addressed those present.
Today, two thematic photo exhibitions are located in the lobby of the Rossiya cinema. The project “Agro-industrial complex of Sevastopol in faces” included more than 300 archival black-and-white and 240 modern photographs of workers of agricultural enterprises, landscape photos and landscapes. Also presented were 110 photographs that participate in the family photography competition “Sevastopol Vine — 2024”. The competition was held by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market, and 70 children from 6 to 12 years old — students from six rural schools — took part. The results of the competition will be announced on October 15, and the authors of the best works will receive memorable prizes.
