On April 1, a fire hazardous season started in Sevastopol, a high fire hazard class — the fourth of the five existing ones was set. The risk is primarily exposed to open natural territories. During this period, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies pay special attention to patrolling of forest and park zones. Vehicles for such work are needed fast and mobile — therefore, the motor group of emergency response of the emergency department is involved in the work. In time, notice the first signs of fire and prevent it from developing into a large forest fire — these are the goals that are facing this formation.
We carry out patrols every day along the four routes: the Baydarskaya Valley, the Chernorechenskaya Valley, the Northern Party, as well as the city, capturing Cape Fiolnet and the Gagarinsky district. We patrol 6 hours a day. This year, fires have not yet been fixed. But in the past it was repeatedly, it was a very hot summer, dry vegetation was very often burning. Cigarette butts thrown out of the windows are the main problem along the transport highways. There was such a day when we put on one after another three fires of grass on the north side because of the discarded cigarette butts. Often we are also conducting explanatory work — by caution during smoking or on the prohibition of bonfires in the natural territories, -says Alexander Shinkevich, senior instructor of the 2nd fire and rescue unit of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the city of Sevastopol.
Regardless of the time of the year, the motor group promptly provides assistance to the victims in an accident. And also motorcyclists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry can save people in fires in housing and even provide assistance on the water — for this, there is the necessary equipment on board the vehicles.
Motorcycles are completely autonomous. We can eliminate fires-there is a fire extinguisher and a paramount setting of fire extinguishing, simmer water and water-beam solution. If we see fire or smoke, then proceed to extinguish and, if necessary, request additional forces — tankers. Also on each motorcycle there is an end to Aleksandrov for salvation at water bodies, there is a hydraulic tool for clenching, biting off elements of metal structures. At the accident, we use it to release the victims and disconnect the battery. They are also equipped with an individual closed rescue device, which helps to remove people from smoky rooms.
