In Sevastopol, bitten children will be paid compensation

The city’s economy department will pay two minor residents of Sevastopol who were bitten by stray dogs 30 and 40 thousand rubles each as compensation.
The court satisfied the prosecutor’s claims for compensation for moral damages to two minors who suffered from dog bites. The first incident occurred in the Kamenny Tsvet (Stone Flower) park in the Gagarinsky district. There, a 14-year-old girl suffered from an aggressive stray dog: her dog bit her on the left leg.
The second incident occurred in the village of Orlinoe: a 16-year-old teenager was attacked and bitten on the shin by a stray dog.
Based on the results of the investigation of the incidents, the prosecutor’s offices of the Gagarinsky and Balaklava districts filed claims with the court to recover compensation for moral damage caused to minors from the city economy department.
The claims were satisfied. Compensations in the amount of 30 and 40 thousand rubles were collected in favor of the injured children, the press service of the city prosecutor’s office reports.
Let us recall that since 2022, the state institution “Parks and Squares”, subordinate to the Department of Urban Economy, has been engaged in the capture, sterilization, vaccination and chipping of stray animals in Sevastopol.
