In Sevastopol check the readiness of infrastructure for the new academic year
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, for the new school year, road markings and pedestrian crossings are updated, the presence and condition of road signs, means of forced speed reduction are checked — dangerous sections are equipped with the necessary technical means of organizing traffic in the first place.
The plans were to renovate about 100 pedestrian crossings, which are actively used by children. I instructed not to stop at this number, and once again go through all the sections near schools and kindergartens, check the degree of wear of the “zebra” , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
To date, experts are conducting a visual inspection of the degree of wear of the «zebra» in the immediate vicinity of schools and kindergartens. Upon completion of the survey, decisions will be made on the final scope of marking work and their timing.
It is worth noting that earlier work was carried out on applying more than 500 sq. m of markings duplicating the image of a road sign on asphalt , — says Yaroslav Stanilov, head of the traffic organization and safety department of the directorate for the development of road transport infrastructure.
Also, by the beginning of the school year, within the framework of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads», a section with a length of almost 500 m, leading to kindergarten No. 73, was repaired. This is the main entrance to a large number of apartment buildings, a shopping center, city hospital No. 5 and a children’s hospital complex.
The site has already completed the laying of two layers of asphalt concrete pavement, replaced the curbs, strengthened the shoulders. Asphalt laying on the sidewalks and landscaping of the surrounding area are in progress.
Recall, in total, within the framework of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads» in 100 year, 73 roads will be brought to the normative state, and two bridge structures will be repaired.
