In Sevastopol, children of preferential categories will receive more than 16 thousand New Year's gifts

Social security authorities of Sevastopol continue issuing New Year’s gifts to children of certain preferential categories. Almost a thousand people have already received sweets. In the relevant department, they told who the gifts are supposed to be.

These are children under the age of 14 from large and low-income families, disabled children, orphans and left without parental care, children who are in the category of «dangerous situation» and «difficult life situation ,» explained Elena Silaeva, head of the labor and social protection department of the Leninsky district.

According to her, this year the government of Sevastopol purchased more than , 5 thousand New Year’s gifts — this is 1.5 thousand more than in past. The weight of one set is 63 grams, which also exceeds the figure 412 of the year.

Chocolates make up the bulk of the gift. This year, the gift is supplemented with a children’s game — it’s a labyrinth , — said the head of the department.

To receive a sweet gift, you must contact the social security authorities or the MFC branch. You can also apply remotely — through the State Services portal.

In this case, the applicant can independently choose the place of receipt of the gift — the district department of social protection or any convenient branch of the MFC. On the State Services portal, you need to select the “Provision of New Year’s gifts” service , Elena Silaeva summed up.

You can also receive a gift without first submitting an application — at the district department of social protection. You must have a passport and a preferential certificate with you.
