On the eve of Civil Defense Day, staff training is conducted in all federal executive authorities and constituent entities of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The event was started by the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
The state pays special attention to the safety of citizens. Therefore, the implementation of civil defense measures is one of the most pressing tasks today. The main goal of training is to test our readiness to act as intended. It is important to work through all tasks, including issues of warning and informing the populationsaid Alexander Kurenkov.
In each subject, the most difficult situation was simulated, taking into account the risks of emergency situations. Methods for effective interaction between emergency departments and services, as well as government bodies, were consolidated.
Thus, in Sevastopol, they also worked on practical introductory training in firefighting and emergency rescue operations (clearing up rubble, providing assistance to victims). Attention was also paid to a set of conditional measures to protect the population in territories that, according to the plan, are exposed to danger due to possible natural and man-made emergencies. Also, as part of the training, a drill review of personnel and equipment took place.
The training stages took place at the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant and in the Specialized Unit of the Sevastopol Emergency Department. A number of events took place on the territory of the Sevelektroavtotrans enterprise named after A. S. Krupoderov and at other city facilities.
The actions of forces and means were observed by the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, Major General of the Internal Service Alexey Rokhlin, representatives of the Department of Public Security of Sevastopol, as well as heads of other departments, services and institutions.
