The project «Sports with the tail» of the Drive Kinological Center, reports «Sevastopol newspaper»received a grant of 440 thousand rubles from the Government of Sevastopol. For this money, social activists will be engaged in sports with the owners and their pets for two and a half months and will carry out a general training course for dogs.
Seven sports sections will be open, in which 10 classes will be held. The list of proposed sports activities is very diverse. The most popular of them is the general course of training (OKD). This discipline forms in the dog the basics of obedience and proper behavior. The dog will be taught the basic teams: “sit”, “lying”, “stand”, “to me”, “next to me”, “place”, “fu”, etc.
Obedience in the group is a set of exercises that teach dogs resistance to distracting factors, the ability to remain calm, concentrate on the owner.
Fitness — physical education for dogs develops balance, coordination, strengthens the muscle frame of the pet. Suitable for dogs with overweight, problems of the musculoskeletal system, during the period of rehabilitation after illness or injury, as well as for the general maintenance of the physical health of the animal.
Lawride — work with a nose. Discipline is aimed at determining, searching and denoting a given smell.
Flibol — team game — analogue of the relay. After the start, the dog needs to overcome four barriers in a row, take the ball and return to the start point through the same barriers. This is a spectacular, gambling and dynamic game, which both dogs and their owners like.
Athletics — includes heavy (wheitpulling) and athletics (athletics all -around). Weithpulling is a direction in which the dog is taught to move heavy loads, which contributes to the development of muscle mass. For this, special worms with cargo are used. The athletics all -around includes support and off -site high jumps and length jumping.
Dog-Frisbi is a game in which the dog catches a plastic disk. There are many subspecies of Dog-Frisbee: throws on the range, on the accuracy of getting into the zone, freestyle, which requires acrobatics not only from the dog, but also from the owner, Bulsai-work simultaneously with two discs.

According to Olga Mironova, the head of the Drive Kydomov Center, a survey among Sevastopol dog owners showed that only 42% of respondents are engaged in their pets, and 35% only play the ball with them during the walk. At the same time, 23% are not engaged in the dog at all.
According to our monitoring, 98% of those who are already engaged in their dog with any kind of dog handling would like to try and master new disciplines and directions.
