In Sevastopol, due to worsening weather conditions, city services are working in enhanced mode

Today in Sevastopol there are worsening weather conditions. Realities of the day: wet snow, frost, strong wind. The air temperature at night and during the day will be minus 1-6 C. In the afternoon, the temperature is expected to drop and freeze. There may be icy conditions on the roads.

The city’s public services are in full readiness; Sevavtodor has deployed 20 units of special road equipment to distribute de-icing material and remove snow. If weather conditions worsen, the number of equipment will be increased, monitoring is carried out around the clock— reported the government of Sevastopol.

Utility services deployed 26 units of equipment, and more than 900 tons of anti-icing mixture were prepared.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol warns that in case of strong wind, rain and wet snow, it is better to refrain from walking and traveling by car. In windy weather, you should not be near the walls of houses, under trees, billboards and power lines, on piers and steep banks. Particular attention should be paid to the safety of children, the elderly and sick people. Do not park cars under trees and do not leave the house unless necessary.

In order to avoid emergency situations, Sevavtodor urges car owners not to use vehicles with summer tires, to be extremely attentive and careful, to observe the speed limit and distance, and to avoid overtaking and changing lanes.
