In Sevastopol — educational volunteer festival «DobroGrad»

The DobroGrad educational volunteer festival is taking place in Sevastopol for four days. One hundred participants, including representatives of the youth of Sevastopol and the Zaporozhye region, will immerse themselves in the basics of volunteering, improve their skills and together form a large-scale volunteer event.

As part of the educational program, participants work with representatives of the Tavrida art cluster, the SKILL training center in Sevastopol, regional and federal experts in the format of interactive lectures and sessions on the topics: conflict resolution at events, working with objections, rallying participants.

The second day of the festival began with a “useful” program, in which the participants were divided into four groups: the first group visited a nursing home to communicate with representatives of the older generation, the second went to a cleanup day and improved the territory of the Ancient Greek estate, the third weaved camouflage nets in the Youth Center. Participants from the Zaporozhye region took a tour of the museum complex “35th Coastal Battery”.

For me, knowing my history is very important so as not to forget about the exploits of my ancestors. It was a great surprise to find four of my relatives who participated in the defense of Sevastopol. I also think it’s just good to know the history so you can pass that information on to your kids.,” notes a participant from the Zaporozhye region, Sofia.

After the “useful” program, the participants, together with the SKILL trainer, held a moderation session and worked out proposals for 2025 on the project “We are together” and the 80th anniversary of the Victory, and also met with Victoria Tupchanenko, the head of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland in Sevastopol, the wife of a serviceman and Viktor Sipyagin — a participant in a special military operation within the framework of the All-Russian project “Dialogues with Heroes”.

As part of the third day’s program, participants will meet with the head of the grant support department of the Movement of the First, Marina Romanyuk, and the head of the grant support department of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Veronica Aksyutina, at a panel discussion about grant opportunities, and will also examine practical formats in areas of volunteer activity.

The volunteer festival “DobroGrad” is held for the first time from October 14 to 18 thanks to the victory in the All-Russian competition of the best regional practices for supporting volunteerism (volunteering) “Region of Good Deeds” with the aim of involving young people in volunteer activities within the framework of the regional project “Social Activity” of the national project “Education.
