In Sevastopol, farmers harvested 23 thousand tons of grapes

At a staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market Natalia Skoryukova reported on the results of the implementation of state support measures for grape-growing and wine-making farms.
Viticulture and winemaking are an important branch of the agro-industrial complex of Sevastopol and our country. In Sevastopol there are more than 60 viticulture and wine-making farms, these are not only large enterprises, but also farms and individual entrepreneurs. The total area of grape plantings is 7.5 thousand hectares, of which 2.5 thousand hectares are young plantings, 5 thousand hectares are fruit-bearing.– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Natalia Skoryukova.
Due to the heat, this year’s grape harvest began three weeks ahead of schedule. 23 thousand tons have already been collected, and by the end of October it is planned to collect 27 thousand tons. The production of wine and sparkling wine is carried out by 15 enterprises. To date, 21 million bottles have been produced.
Sevastopol winegrowers are increasingly occupying a leading position, preserving the natural ecosystem, introducing modern organic technologies for growing grapes. This year, six enterprises are already engaged in organic viticulture and winemaking.notes the head of the relevant department.
For 2024, the amount of planned state support in the field of viticulture and winemaking from the federal and regional budgets is 439 million rubles. The number of organizations that received government support is 27.
One of the enterprises in the wine industry is the Agro-Industrial Association Sevastopol Winery. This is a full-cycle winemaking enterprise — from growing and processing grapes to releasing finished products. The association also includes the agricultural enterprise SVZ-Agro.
The area of fruit-bearing vineyards is about 600 hectares. On the basis of the SVZ-Agro enterprise, about 1,500 tons of fresh grapes are grown and harvested annually. Since 2015, 200 hectares of new vineyards have been plantednotes the speaker.
In 2024, the company was provided with a regional support measure in the amount of 43 million rubles. The plant currently produces six brands. The winery’s products are represented in all regional retail chains and some federal ones. This year, the company signed a contract for the supply of products to the Republic of Belarus.
