In Sevastopol, green areas from mosquitoes are processing

The Directorate of Protected and Forestry carried out processing from mosquitoes in the territory of the natural park of regional significance «Maximov Dacha». The total processing area was 620 square meters, these are three ponds located next to each other.

Mosquitoes lay larvae on the surface of the water, and that is why the ponds in the maximum cottage are a favorable environment for their reproduction, -quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol of the Leading Ecologist Daria Zachkov.

The water in these reservoirs is quite cool, and the presence of shady corners creates ideal conditions for the development of larvae. This makes it necessary to carry out regular processing.

This season it is planned to conduct three processing, each of which is important to control the number of mosquitoes. The work is carried out in accordance with the schedule.
