In Sevastopol in 2024, more than 1,600 families disposed of the funds of the capital for the purchase of housing

Improving housing conditions is one of the most popular areas for the use of maternal family capital. In 2024, in Sevastopol, more than 1,600 families disposed of funds for the purchase of housing, including the repayment of a housing loan or an initial mortgage contribution. For these purposes, the department of the social fund of Russia in Sevastopol sent over 925 million rubles.

A mortgage loan or the initial contribution on it can be repaid maternal family capital immediately after the birth of a child. In order to dispose of the certificate for the purchase of housing without attracting borrowed funds, it is necessary that the child, in connection with the birth of which the right to uterus arises, is three years old.

An application for the disposal of maternal capital can be submitted on public services, in the MFC or in the client service of the regional branch of the SFR. An application for improving housing conditions with the involvement of credit funds can be submitted directly at the bank in which a loan opens.

Since 2025, to purchase, reconstruct a house, part of the house, a house of blocked development or receive compensation for a built or reconstructed house at the expense of maternity capital if housing is recognized as suitable for living and meets the requirements for residential premises. This order makes it possible to counteract fraudulent schemes to cash up maternity capital and suppress the use of state support for the purchase of housing unsuitable for living, — explained the manager of the Department of SFR in Sevastopol Elena Gayvoronskaya.

The conclusion that housing is recognized as suitable for living is issued by an interdepartmental commission specially created under the government of Sevastopol. Owners of housing, copyright holders or tenants of the premises can submit an application for the commission. The application and the documents attached to it are accepted at the MFC.
