January at 8 hours 5 minutes in the operational duty shift of the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for The city of Sevastopol received information that in the Nakhimovsky district of the city, on the territory of the horticultural partnership «Solnyshko», an explosive object from the times of the Great Patriotic War was found.

It was found by employees of the Specialized Detachment of the department during the planned processing of applications from the population and identified as a German aerial bomb SD-01. In close proximity to the place of detection is a zone of private residential development. In the course of the work, it was found that the condition and type of the fuse make it possible to transport the ammunition. The main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol was transferred to the emergency mode. Representatives of relevant departments of the Government of Sevastopol, as well as emergency departments and organizations were involved in organizing and conducting related activities to ensure the safety of the population and infrastructure, the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia in Sevastopol reported.

Communications located dangerously close to the site were previously disabled. Through the mobile complex of the Russian Broadcasting and Warning Networks, the residents of the nearest streets were informed of the need to leave the dangerous territory for the period of the events.

At present, the dangerous find has already been transported to a special range, where it will be eliminated by controlled detonation.
