In Sevastopol, more than 300 fathers receive child care benefits
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This year, 341 Sevastopol residents are on maternity leave. While fathers are caring for their children, the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund pays them a monthly allowance in the amount of 40% of average earnings. Funds are provided until the child turns 1.5 years old.
The father can take care of the child if the wife, for example, did not fully use the required maternity leave and went to work. To apply for care leave, a working father submits a corresponding application at work; a non-working father submits an application either to the SFR client service, or to the MFC, or through the State Services website. Previously, the application had to be accompanied by a package of documents, including a copy of the baby’s birth certificate, a certificate stating that the mother does not receive care allowance, and a certificate of the father’s income from his previous place of work. Today there is no need to provide such information, since the SFR Branch for Sevastopol independently receives the relevant information on interdepartmental interaction,” noted the department’s press service.
According to the current rules, vacation time is taken into account in the father’s length of service, and also forms his pension coefficients. For each year of leave, 1.8 coefficients are assigned if the father is caring for the first child and 3.6 coefficients when caring for the second child. If a dad stays home with his third or fourth child, that gives a 5.4 ratio. Vacation of less or more than a year is counted proportionally.
This year, the minimum amount of care allowance is 8.6 thousand rubles per month, the maximum is 33.2 thousand rubles.
