In Sevastopol, more than 80 people have already applied for help to the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation

During the week of work, the Sevastopol branch of the state fund «Defenders of the Fatherland» received 84 appeals. Most of them arrived at the primary reception windows located at st. Quarantine, 45. Calls to the hotline and messages on social networks were also recorded. This was reported in the city government.

Most often, those who apply need help in obtaining a certificate of a veteran of hostilities, registration of a land plot and the required benefits. Also of interest are the issues of employment and disability registration.

In the branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, an office for providing psychological assistance, a point for counseling and rental of technical rehabilitation equipment, and an office for the Employment Center have been deployed. Veterans are advised by lawyers, physicians, rehabilitation specialists, specialists in medical and social expertise and specialized authorities. Social coordinators help veterans prepare documents for receiving support measures, conduct personal work with veterans and their families— said the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Alexander Kulagin.

38 veterans of the special operation and family members of the deceased participants of the SVO have already been assigned to social coordinators. They can contact specialists at any time for advice or moral support.

During the short time that our branch has been operating, we have managed to consult dozens of people. Someone closed their questions after the initial appointment and consultation with the social coordinator. We help someone to get the status of a combat veteran, in order to then arrange all the necessary social support measures. The process is underway, we are establishing communication with all city departments and public organizations in order to help our wards as quickly and efficiently as possible— said the head of the branch of the state fund «Defenders of the Fatherland» in Sevastopol Elena Anisimova.
