In Sevastopol, more than twelve thousand schoolchildren took part in the “Attention – Children!” campaign.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of the summer holidays, State Traffic Inspectorate employees conducted about 120 preventive lectures on studying the rules of safe behavior in the road transport environment, visiting more than 60 educational organizations in Sevastopol.
Holidays are a time when vehicle drivers and child pedestrians must be especially careful, because in the summer, minors spend most of their time on the street. Traffic inspectors reminded schoolchildren about traffic rules in the format of educational conversations, video lessons and practical exercises, helped them better understand how to behave on the road and how to avoid dangerous situationsemphasizes the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Police spoke about the basics of safety in yards, residential areas and busy roads. Particular attention of young road users was drawn to the fact that with the onset of the summer season, the number of cyclists and motorcyclists on the roads increases, so it is necessary to be vigilant and use reflective elements while walking, as well as in conditions of poor visibility.
Cooperation between the State Traffic Inspectorate and educational institutions makes it possible to create a sustainable system of education for road safety from an early age, which in the long term reduces the number of road accidents and helps improve the overall road situation,” noted the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Promotions of this kind not only help to increase children’s knowledge about road safety, but also influence their behavior on the road. Schoolchildren begin to take a more responsible attitude towards following the rules and become active participants in creating a safe road environment.
