In Sevastopol, the base station of the infrastructure communications operator K-telecom was officially opened. The facility, built with the support of the city’s digital development department, provides communication for 1.7 km of Kamyshovoye Highway — from Amet-Khan Sultan Street to the exit ring to Industrialnaya Street, and also covers a large summer cottage area — Dorozhnik-2, Medic-1, Edelweiss, Solnechny , Otradny-1, Otradny-2, Stroitel.
The new base station will allow residents of the district not only to make calls on a mobile phone, but also to use high-speed mobile Internet and use the necessary applications and instant messengers. Before its launch, the residents of the district did not have mobile Internet at all , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the digital development department Alexandra Osipova.
Director General of K-Telecom Anton Golikov said that the base station has all permits and expert opinions confirming the safety of the station.
It was impossible to get through, there was almost no signal, as well as access to mobile Internet. We were really looking forward to the appearance of the communication station, now you can call from home and be calm that you can always call emergency services and just call relatives and friends , — says Tatyana, a resident of the garden partnership.
It should be noted that in the first hour of the station’s operation, more than 500 people gained access to the network.
