In Sevastopol, prices for fresh vegetables and “borscht set” decreased

The Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market of the Government of Sevastopol noted: fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, onions, and beets have noticeably fell noticeably. A decrease in prices for long -term storage and eggs was also recorded. The price of apples increased slightly, which is explained by the seasonal factor and transition to a new batch of products.

The commodity supply in the consumer market of Sevastopol is supported in sufficient volume, and the work of trade enterprises is carried out without interruptions.

Specialists of the Department conducted another verification of compliance with the conditions of the Memorandum about mutual understanding in the Leader retail network.

Recall that in Sevastopol for several years a mechanism aimed at holding prices for socially significant goods — “Memorandum of understanding” has been successfully implemented for several years. This is an agreement between the city authorities and retail chains, signed on the initiative of the governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. It suggests that retail chains voluntarily install the minimum (from 0% to 15%) a trading margin on a certain list of socially significant goods.

Monitoring compliance with the terms of the agreement is carried out weekly by representatives of the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market. I would like to note that retail chains conscientiously comply with the conditions of the memorandum and expand the list of positions. In the store of the Leader retail chain, violations have not been recorded,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol as the head of the consumer market of the Department of the Department of Ksenia Kazanjiev.

For the convenience of consumers, goods involved in the framework of the memorandum should be allocated with bright light blue price tags with the inscription «Memorandum». Each store organized the “Buyer Corner”, where a full list of preferential goods, designed in the same style, is located.

Representatives of the retail network confirmed that all the conditions of the memorandum are strictly respected, the goods of the corresponding list are freely available and are allocated by special labeling. In addition, due to high demand among customers, the retail network always has a stock of products on a memorandum.
