Over the past day, remote scammers in Sevastopol made their victims a -year-old man and -year-old woman.
In the afternoon, unknown people called the victims on mobile phones, including using instant messengers, introduced themselves as bank security officers and urged them to fulfill their demands, allegedly to protect their savings. Misled, the elderly man and woman transferred their funds to bank accounts dictated by the attackers. Realizing that they had become a victim of scammers, they turned to the police , — the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol notes.
The Sevastopol Police reminds: real bank employees never call their customers to report alleged problems with a bank account. Only remote scammers do this!
In no case do not follow the instructions of the callers, no matter who they appear to be, and no matter what troubles they threaten. End the conversation immediately and call your bank yourself to make sure everything is in order with your money.
