In Sevastopol, roads are ready for worsening weather conditions

For the safety of car traffic in the cold season, Sevavtodor employees inspect roads and artificial structures — bridges, overpasses and pipes. The routes of priority, the timing of clearing roads from snow, as well as their treatment with anti-icing materials, were agreed in advance. Preparations for the winter period started in early October, work is being carried out as part of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads».

Due to the worsening weather conditions and lowering temperatures, precipitation in the form of rain and snow, the machines are involved in standby and operating mode throughout the city for prompt response. In order to avoid accidents, we urge car owners not to use vehicles with summer tires, to be extremely careful and accurate, to observe the speed limit and distance, to avoid overtaking and changing lanes. Work on monitoring the formation of ice and ice on the roads of Sevastopol is carried out around the clock , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy director of the department of transport and road infrastructure Nikolai Maksimov.

For the treatment of roads in Sevastopol, they prepared:

  • 2 033 tons of technical salt;

1 000 tons of sand-and-salt mixture;

2 384 tons of screenings.32
