In Sevastopol schools — All-Russian action “Front-line letter — a symbol of military glory”

The All-Russian memorial event “Front-line letter — a symbol of military glory” is taking place in Sevastopol. Today, a thematic event was held for fifth-grade students of schools No. 39 and 14 at the museum of school No. 14 named after I. S. Pyanzin.

The children were told about the history of the appearance of the soldier’s triangle. The schoolchildren got acquainted with letters from the front: they learned what the soldiers wrote to their loved ones, and shared their emotions from the letters they read.

As part of the event, the guys and I analyzed letters from the Great Patriotic War and discussed how important it is to support each other at all times. So now, in our time, during a special military operation, it is important to write letters and support our defenders. We plan to carry out this action in other parallels. We, teachers, educational advisers, analyzed them ourselves during the preparation and selection of letters, some of them bring us to tears right away, from the first line. According to wartime statistics, up to 70 million letters were delivered to the army and navy annually, and the same amount went from the front to the relatives and friends of soldiers. In total, during the Great Patriotic War, 2 billion 794 million letters were sent from the front to the rear.

Such events are, of course, important. They help to learn more about those terrible events and share the stories of their heroes. Sevastopol schoolchildren continued the memorable event by writing letters to modern defenders in the zone of a special military operation. Children, together with their parents and teachers, actively help the front, collect humanitarian aid for the soldiers, and send letters and gifts.
