In Sevastopol summed up the results of the operational and preventive measures «Illegal-2023»

In the period from June 19 to June 25, 2023, the federal complex operational and preventive operation «Illegal-2023» was carried out in the city, aimed at identifying and suppressing violations of migration legislation.

Operative and preventive measures were carried out by employees of bodies and divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, together with the Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, in places of compact stay (residence) of foreign citizens, their labor activity, in order to identify and suppress channels of illegal migration , administrative offenses by foreign citizens and crimes in the field of migration.

During the operation, 48 hostels, 3 hotels, 4 large and 58 private construction sites, as well as places of work of foreign citizens in the stationary and spontaneous markets of the city of Sevastopol were checked, 15 foreign citizens were illegally staying on the territory of the Russian Federation.

In total, employees of the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol revealed 132 administrative offenses in the field of migration. Based on the results of the consideration of cases of administrative offenses, administrative fines were imposed in the total amount of 298 thousand rubles.

In addition, as part of the operation «Illegal-2023», the police registered 12 materials of verification on the grounds of the elements of crimes under Art. 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation related to the organization of illegal entry of foreign citizens or stateless persons, their illegal stay and fictitious registration at the place of stay in the Russian Federation, as well as on the grounds of a crime under Art. 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation related to the falsification of documents in the field of migration. The sanctions of these articles provide for large fines, and in some cases — imprisonment for up to 3 years. Based on the results of consideration of the specified materials of the check, 5 criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of crimes under Art. 322.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Employees of the criminal investigation department and patrol service detained 6 citizens who were on the federal wanted list for committing various crimes. The investigative department of the MIA of Russia for the Leninsky district, in relation to one of these persons, for committing a crime under Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a criminal case was initiated.

These activities aimed at identifying violations in the field of migration legislation are under constant control of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and are carried out on a regular basis.
