In Sevastopol, support for agricultural enterprises in 2022 amounted to more than 400 million rubles

In Sevastopol, the results of the work of the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market for the year were summed up, and the plans of the department for the 2023 year were discussed.

Among the main areas of work of the department is the support of agricultural producers. The area of ​​agricultural land in Sevastopol is more than 21 thousand hectares. The enterprises of the region specialize in the cultivation of grapes, fruits of pome and stone fruits, open and closed ground vegetables, berries, as well as in the processing of grapes for wine material.

This year the growers showed a worthy result in grape harvest. The gross harvest amounted to about 21 thousand tons from an area of ​​​​5 thousand hectares, yield indicators for 32% higher than in 2021 year. For months 2022 of the year, wine and sparkling wine were produced 21, 3 million bottles. The gross harvest of stone fruit and pome crops — peach, apples, cherries, apricots — amounted to 406 tons, berry crops — strawberries, raspberries — 63, 6 tons. More than 2 tons of nut crops were harvested in the 2022 year, — said Natalia Skoryukova, director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market of Sevastopol.

She added that, despite the small sown area of ​​grain crops, this year a good harvest is recorded: 450 tons of barley and 452 tons of wheat. At the same time, % of wheat has already been sold.

State support for agricultural enterprises this year amounted to 63 million rubles. Funds are allocated within the framework of the state program «Development of agricultural, fishery and agro-industrial complexes.»

The Department provided support to 26 viticulture and wine-making enterprises in the amount of 311 million rubles. Active support is used not only by large enterprises, but also by small farms. Support measures made it possible to plant new vineyards on a total area of ​​361 hectares, upgrade agricultural equipment, install a melioration system, compensate for the costs of applying mineral fertilizers, and purchase equipment for production guilt. This year, we have worked out the issue of a painless transition of our growers to domestic seedlings , — said the head of the department.

The plans for the 2021 year are to provide state support to agricultural producers in the amount of 509, 2 million rubles. The laying of new vineyards is planned on a total area of ​​more than 400 hectares.
