In Sevastopol, the bathing season was extended until October 15. What happens to the Omega Beach and Victory Park

Krympress reports:

The governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozozhaev on August 8 inspected the territory of the Omega beach and the second phase of the reconstruction of the Victory Park. It was decided on the spot: to extend the holiday season this year until October 15.

Sevastopol residents and guests of the city have many questions about the fact that on September 15 the bathing season is being closed, and the beach zones cease to serve, clean, protect, and so on. This year we extend the season until October 15. Accordingly, operators, respectively, will be required to support the entire beach area in good condition before this date,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol the head of the city.

Despite the fact that before the start of the bathing season, the beach operator tried to fulfill the obligations assigned to him, the head of the city stated that the territory of the beach requires more careful care.

The operator as a whole does everything that is required of him, but there are questions about cleaning the territory: there are many cigarette butts on the beach, they need to be removed, it is better to monitor the territory. It is clear that this is a good place for business: there are many outlets, coastal cafes. What is the problem to make people be pleased to be here — it’s not clear to me. Now the operator has the opportunity to comprehend further investment plans; If there are serious comments to work, the contract may be terminated ahead of schedule. Anyone who will invest in our Omega should be ready for long -term work. More powerful investments are needed here. But investment projects are a distant prospect, and the order should be today. At least to clean the beach from garbage is the task is quite feasible— the governor emphasizes.

An agreement with the current Omega Beach operator was concluded until 2028. Before the expiration of the contract, the operator needs to prepare a plan for the development of the territory entrusted to him and contact him to the Department of Urban Economy for study, and before that put the territory in order.

Another constant problem is the flowering of water in the root of the omega bay. The head of the city noted that for its solution, a compulsory water exchange system is needed. This will require significant financial injections and can become part of the investment project of the beach operator.

At the end of the visiting meeting, the head of Sevastopol checked the course of the work of the second stage of the reconstruction and improvement of the territory of the Victory Park, implemented under the program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Work on the second stage of Victory Park consists of two parts. We plan to finish the left and right flanks from the central entrance by September 1. On the left site, the Ural granite will be prayed — this territory will be added to the walking area of the park in the near future. And we will try to catch the right side before the end of the year— said Mikhail Razvozhaev.

According to the project, they will reconstruct retaining walls on the site, it will be updated by coating on children’s and sports grounds, sites for walking dogs, a pump-track and a skate park, new landscaping elements, including shops from a local manufacturer. Lights, communication systems and video surveillance will also be installed, and the territory is landscaped. In addition, an automatic watering system will be installed.
