In Sevastopol, the case of embezzlement of citizens over 20 million rubles went to the court in the reconstruction of a residential building

The prosecutor’s office of the Balaklava district of Sevastopol approved the indictment in the criminal case against the two co-founders of Avangard LLC and the 60-year-old local resident. They are accused under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale). The criminal case was instituted based on the materials of the prosecutor’s inspection. The investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Balaklava region of the city of Sevastopol.

According to investigators, in 2016, the fellow citizens of Avangard LLC agreed with the eldest for apartment building No. 45 on the street. Krestovsky in the city of Sevastopol on its overhaul and reconstruction. The house was two -story and consisted of 8 apartments. The woman convinced her neighbors of the opportunity to carry out its repairs for free, giving a commercial organization the right to transfer the new residential premises that have formed as a result of the reconstruction. She provided her apartment as an office for the organization. The accomplices found seven citizens who wanted to invest their money in construction, concluded investment agreements with them and received payment.

At the same time, the accused was reliably known that they would not be able to transfer future apartments to investors. The work was carried out unauthorized, without permits. The reconstructed residential building has not yet been put into operation. The built two-level attic floor with 10 new apartments is subject to demolition by a court decision that entered into force. Investors cannot dispose of the purchased premises, funds are not returned to them.

Thus, from November 2016 to November 2017, the victims caused damage for a total of over 20 million rubles,-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.

The criminal case with the approved prosecutor’s office was sent to the Balaklava District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits. Real estate objects of the accused and members of their families are arrested.
