In Sevastopol, the check of the coastline is completed

Employees of the Sevastopol rescue service completed the coastline and the seabed for the presence of traces of pollution with fuel oil. The plot from Cape Fiolent to the Jashmovy beach was examined, the most inaccessible places where you can go only from the sea.

We applied an integrated approach and work in several groups. The first group took place by land, the second examined a wiping of water, specialists in light -handed equipment examined water at a distance of 2 to 20 meters from the shore, divers with special equipment made a dive from the boat and examined the seabed at a distance of 50 meters from the shore. 13 people are involved here today, two boats are used and the camp is deployed to ensure work,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol as deputy head of the search and rescue detachment of «Marine» Sergei Mochkov.

To date, the rescue service of Sevastopol has checked all the beaches and wild places of rest from Cossack Bay to Cape Aiya, before that the beaches of the north side were examined.

We work according to the approved and agreed plan between the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies for Sevastopol and the Department of Public Security. Today we finish the last coastline. We checked all the beaches and wild places of rest from Cossack bay to Cape Ayia. No traces of fuel oil on the seabed and water were found, — notes the head of the rescue service Anatoly Popov.

Recall that, starting from January 3, when the first spots of fuel oil were recorded, the headquarters was deployed and the consequences began to eliminate. On the territory of the coastline, the main measures for the cleaning and removal of waste polluted by oil products were completed. But now monitoring is ongoing and in case of detection of pollution on the beaches, everything is removed in an operational manner.
