In Sevastopol, the city automated system for accounting and payment of fares was updated

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From July 1, 2023 on behalf of the Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev company «Unified city map of Sevastopol» launches a service that will allow you to get away from the transport card in the future. Now residents and guests of the city will be able to buy long-term travel tickets (school, student, general civil) without using the EGKS transport card.

The updated system allows:

  • pay for travel with all types of bank cards of MIR, VISA, MasterCard payment systems;
  • pay for travel with smartphones with MirPay or EGKS applications using a virtual card;
  • buy and renew a long-term travel ticket linked to a bank card;
  • pay for travel by all types of transport cards, including school and student cards.

The system operates on the platform of the National Payment Card System (NSPK) and meets all modern accounting and payment standards.

To purchase or renew travel tickets, it is enough to select the required tariff, indicate which bank card to link it to and pay for the travel pass. From the moment of payment, the bank card becomes a travel ticket.

Passengers will be able to carry out unlimited trips on city public transport. Due to the fact that the ticket will be valid for a month, money will not be debited.

The system will also cover commercial transport, including suburban bus and rail, which is already equipped with payment terminals.

You can buy a long-term travel ticket and link it to a bank card in the passenger’s personal account on the website www.egks.ruin the EGKS mobile application or at self-service terminals located at city stops.

Despite the new system, EGKS transport cards and EGKS travel tickets will continue to operate. The validity of such cards is unlimited.

Please note that as of June 1, 2023. until September 30, 2023 there is a promotion — a discount of 8 rubles when paying for travel using the MirPay application.

Company «Unified city map of Sevastopol» is preparing to introduce fare payment using QR codes, including on interchange routes.

In addition, the automated fare collection system that operates in Sevastopol operates in 26 other regions of our country and is extremely efficient and comfortable to use.
