In Sevastopol — the conference «Black Sea Cooperation — 2022»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The conference «Black Sea Cooperation — 2022». The purpose of the event is to continue the work of a scientific and expert platform for research, scientific expertise, exchange of views and promotion of the development and prosperity of the Black Sea region.
The participants are researchers from different regions of our country — Sevastopol, Crimea, Zaporozhye, and other regions of the Russian Federation. These are both researchers and practitioners in political, economic, cultural activities, international cooperation, and relationships. The goal is to develop cooperation in the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the rector of SevGU Vladimir Nechaev.
The Black Sea region has become a geopolitical space for the clash of world and regional powers — a front zone for the formation of a new system of international relations.
Before that, we cooperated with the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, but now that we are one big family, we must help each other even more. We are talking here about fraternal agreements, partnerships, as well as economic ones. We have established a trade turnover, now there are still new logistical ways, opportunities — and it seems to me that this year this conference is also devoted to this topic , — says Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko.
The work of the conference is structured around discussion areas, including:
- Russia’s national interests and security issues in the Black Sea region;
- political aspects of the development of Sevastopol and Crimea in the context of the transformation of the Black Sea region;
- trends in the formation new system of international relations and competition between great powers: regional reflections;
- technologies for realizing Russia’s national interests in the Black Sea region;
trends and prospects for economic development of the countries of the Black Sea region;20
“The main concept of the conference is to bring together the best practices, so we invite current politicians, public figures, and a sought-after analytical product arises from the synthesis of ideas. The conference is being held for the second time — it was conceived as a deep study of what is happening in the Black Sea region , — said Alexander Irkhin, Doctor of Political Sciences, Head of the Department of Political Sciences, SevGU.
The event is based on the concept of synthesis of theoretical scientific knowledge and practical policy in the field of public administration, regional studies of the Black Sea region, the work of the media, the activities of military institutions and public policy.
