Pedestrians, according to Section 4 of the Traffic Regulations of the Russian Federation, should comply with the standards of safe behavior on the road and be as vigilant as possible in the dark and in bad weather conditions. Before entering the roadway, stop and make sure there is no approaching traffic or that the driver sees you and allows you to pass. If there are no sidewalks, move along illuminated sections of roads and only towards traffic. When moving in the dark or in conditions of poor visibility, give preference to light-colored clothing and be sure to use reflective elements. A pedestrian must cross the road at pedestrian crossings, underground or overground pedestrian crossings, and in their absence, at intersections along the sidewalks or curbs.
