In Sevastopol, the court delivered a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a native of the city of Baku living in Sevastopol, 1962 year of birth. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 81 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by a person driving a car (bus) of the rules of the road, which negligently entailed the infliction of grievous harm to human health).
It was established that in October 2022 the man, being the driver of the shuttle bus No. 195, stopped near the public transport stop «Rebellion Square» towards st. Ochakovtsev in Sevastopol, and then resumed movement without closing the vehicle doors. As a result of the violations of the Rules of the Road committed by him, a 81-year-old woman, a bus passenger, who was leaving the passenger compartment at a bus stop, fell and received a hip fracture , the press service reports. The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, the circumstances of the crime and the repentance of the perpetrator, sentenced the man to a restriction of liberty for a period of 1 year and 6 months. The verdict has not entered into force.
