In Sevastopol, the exhibition was presented «offspring as an example»

Within the framework of the patriotic event, “Fatherland Faithful Sons”, dedicated to the year of the defender of the Fatherland, an exhibition of archival documents “offspring as an example” was opened on the Mikhailovskaya battery. The exposition is devoted to the legendary feat of the Brig «Mercury» — one of the most striking examples of courage and valor in the history of the Russian fleet.

The exhibition that we present today is the result of painstaking work with archival documents. It shows how closely the past is associated with modernity. I am sure that the exposition will cause keen interest among visitors to the museum,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. O. The exposition presents documents telling about the glorious feat of the brig and his commander Alexander Ivanovich Kazarsky during the Russo-Turkish war of 1828-1829, about the courageous and brave heroes of this battle, as well as the perpetuating of their memory.

This event is of particular value, and thanks to our colleagues from the archive of Sevastopol, their work, on the territory of our museum complex, the exhibition “offspring as an example” is opened, which is not only informative, but also extremely relevant. It allows you to look at history in a new way and save memory for future generations-says the director of the military-historical museum of the fortifications of the FGAU branch «Weiss» of the Russian Ministry of Defense Eduard Kraynov.

The exhibition “offspring in an example” will continue to work until the end of July on the territory of the Mikhailovsky battery.
