In Sevastopol — the festival «Ready for work and defense» among schoolchildren

At the stadium of the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, the regional stage of the annual festival of the All-Russian physical and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” among schoolchildren began.

Now the guys are competing who have already passed the municipal stage and fulfilled the standards not lower than the “silver”, that is, these are schoolchildren with a good level of physical training. The guys who show the best results will be included in the national team of Sevastopol and present our city on the All -Russian finale, which will be held at the Artek International Children’s Center. I’m sure everyone will prove himself in the best way,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol, head of the Department of Sports Sergei Reznichenko.

On the eve of the participants competed 60 meters in, pulling up from a hang on a high crossbar (young men), bending and extending the hands in the end of lying on the floor (girl), jumping in length and throwing the ball. Today there will be tests for running 1.500 meters (12-13 years) and 2000 meters (14-15 years), as well as on flexibility exercises (tilt). Tomorrow, the competition will continue in the swimming pool of the Olympic reserve sports school No. 1 — the participants will have to hand over the TRP stands for 50 meters swimming.
