In Sevastopol — the forum «St. George's ribbon as a connecting thread of generations»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, on the basis of Sevastopol State University, the opening of the All-Russian Educational Forum of Patriotic Education of Youth «St. George’s Ribbon as a connecting thread of generations» took place. The forum was organized by the regional Sevastopol branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia.
Among the main goals of the forum is the formation of patriotism and the implementation of the goals of creating a unified educational space for Sevastopol, the LPR, the DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The forum combined two formats — face-to-face and online. More than 150 people from different regions of the Russian Federation take part in its work. These are pedagogical workers, representatives of the public, methodologists. The participants will discuss the issues of spiritual, moral and civil-patriotic education of the younger generation.
The educational site was visited by Russian Senator Sergey Kolbin, Director of the Department of Domestic Policy Sergey Bezdolny, Deputy General Director of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia Irina Babakova, Head of the Regional Branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia Ruslan Koveiko, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol Marina Peschanskaya, Rector of SevSU Vladimir Nechaev, Chairman of the Public Chamber Sevastopol Alexander Troshev.
The theme and the name of the forum are very symbolic. Because the St. George ribbon is a memory of the exploits of our fathers, grandfathers, heroic battles. There was a period in my life when we were responsible for the St. George Ribbon, even hosting tough clashes on the Kiev Maidan. But this is our story. We will not allow anyone to rewrite it, we will not give— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol, Senator of the Russian Federation Sergei Kolbin.
The head of the Department of Internal Policy of Sevastopol wished the participants fruitful work on the formation of new ideas, approaches and meanings that would help to resist external attacks.
On behalf of the Government of Sevastopol and on my own behalf, I would like to welcome the forum participants. Many thanks to everyone who got to our Hero City, first of all, these are our friends from new regions of the Russian Federation. We look forward to a productive exchange of views and further strong friendship. Today, the state is actively returning to the sphere of interethnic relations. He returns as a partner and builds relationships with public organizations, civil society institutions exclusively on a partnership basis. Therefore, we are all interested in the productive work of the regional branch of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia. We will support and help— Sergey Bezdolny notes.
Deputy Director General of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia Irina Babakova stressed the need to consolidate forces and resources to implement strategic state tasks in the new reality.
The most important thing today, according to the decree of the President and his personal appeal, is the mobilization of citizens, the consolidation of forces and strategic resources to achieve one simple goal — the unity of our vast Motherland, regardless of confessions, different nationalities, religions. St. George’s Ribbon in this sense is a connecting thread not only for generations, but also for all subjects of the Russian Federation— emphasizes Irina Babakova.
The forum will last two days.
