On July 12, on the Day of the Holy Primate Apostles Peter and Paul, the Dean of the Sevastopol District, Archpriest Sergiy Halyuta, consecrated the image of the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov in the Vladimir Cathedral-tomb of admirals.
The life portrait of the saint, found on the island of Crete, was taken as the basis for writing the image, the icon itself will be in military units and formations to strengthen the fighting spirit of the army. Warriors of the Black Sea Fleet, representatives of the government and the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol prayed together with the clergy. At the end, everyone went down to the lower temple, where they prayed for the repose of the famous admirals buried in the Vladimir Cathedral and laid flowers— reported the press service of the Sevastopol deanery.
