In Sevastopol, the memory of the dead submariners was honored

In Sevastopol, at the Fraternal Cemetery (North Side), where the Sevastopol submariners who died on the nuclear submarine (NPS) «Komsomolets» and on the nuclear submarine missile cruiser (APRK) «Kursk» are buried, the rector of St. Nicholas Church, Archpriest Georgy, was served lithium for sailors who died at sea in peacetime.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, a memorial rally was held at the memorial sign «To those who died in tragedies at sea», which was attended by representatives of the fleet command, city authorities, crews of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet, cadets of the ChVVMU them. Accompanied by a guard of honor, wreaths and flowers were laid at the graves of the submariners of the Komsomolets nuclear submarine, the Kursk nuclear submarine and at the memorial sign.
Recall that on April 7, 1989, the Komsomolets nuclear submarine of the Northern Fleet sank in the Norwegian Sea. Of the 69 crew members, 42 were killed, seven of them were from Sevastopol. In accordance with the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, since 1995 this date has been declared the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Submariners.
