On July 25, a joint meeting of the registry office and notary staff was held at the Nakhimovsky District Civil Registry Office of Sevastopol. The meeting was attended by the President of the Notary Chamber of Sevastopol Olga Kalenkovich, representative of the Civil Registry Office of Sevastopol Tatyana Sadilenko and employees of the registry office. The business meeting was devoted to the topic of interaction between the notary and the civil registry office.

The main issues discussed by the participants concerned notaries’ access to the Unified State Register of Civil Status Acts, issuing duplicate documents to citizens to confirm family ties when registering documents with a notary, determining the place of opening an inheritance case in the event that the place of residence of the deceased is indicated in the death certificate, according to the medical death certificate, notarial action — certification of the equivalence of an electronic document to a paper document and vice versa, and the advisability of making changes to civil status records were also discussed.
