In Sevastopol, in secondary school No. 17, a solemn opening of a memorial plaque was held to the commander of the large landing ship «Caesar Kunikov», captain of the 3rd rank Alexander Chirva, who died while performing combat missions to ensure the grouping of Russian forces conducting a special military operation in the Mariupol direction .
The solemn opening ceremony of the memorial plaque was attended by the leadership, teachers and schoolchildren of the educational organization, the command and military personnel of the landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet, the Youth Army Detachment of Secondary School No. 17.
To the sounds of the orchestra of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, a memorial plaque to Captain 3rd Rank Alexander Chirva was opened on the facade of the school where he studied. The event ended with the passage of the guard of honor of the Black Sea Fleet— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
