In Sevastopol, employees of the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky district completed a preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated under Part 1 of Art. 232 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Organization or maintenance of brothels or systematic provision of premises for the consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”).
During the investigation, it was established that an unemployed 25-year-old local resident, previously convicted of theft, systematically provided his friends with the premises of his four-room apartment for the safe use of marijuana, mephedrone and other prohibited substances for several months. In order to create comfortable conditions for his drug-addicted visitors, the man purchased various devices for drug use and equipped rest rooms. For his illegal services, the owner of the brothel received remuneration in the form of doses of drugs, alcohol, food, personal belongings— the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol gave details.
The illegal activities of the attacker were stopped by employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Leninsky district.
At the time of the inspection of the apartment, in addition to the owner, there were two of his friends in the home. They underwent a medical examination, the result of which established that they were in a state of drug intoxication. Drug paraphernalia was also found and seized in the apartment.— the police clarified.
Currently, the materials of the criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor’s office are being considered in court. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
