In Sevastopol, the police ensured security and law and order during the celebration of the Epiphany

On the night of January 19, events dedicated to the celebration of the Epiphany of the Lord were traditionally held in the churches of Sevastopol.
78 police officers took part in ensuring law and order and security for about one and a half thousand citizens during the Orthodox holiday. Military personnel of the Russian Guard, representatives of the Cossacks, voluntary people’s squads and private security firms were also involved. All religious sites on whose territory the events took place were previously inspected and taken under protection. To effectively ensure security, patrol routes were as close as possible to the places of worship and ablution rituals of believers. Traffic safety on roads adjacent to churches was ensured by the State Traffic Inspectorate.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
There were no violations of public order at the places of worship, religious processions and immersion of citizens.
