In Sevastopol, the police seized a large consignment of marijuana from illegal circulation

In Sevastopol, officers of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Gagarinsky District detained a local resident who intended to sell marijuana on a large scale.

Earlier, investigators received information that a -year-old man kept a large batch of a herbal drug in his garage. It also became known that the attacker crushes, weighs and packs the drug for the purpose of further sale on the territory of Sevastopol , — said the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the inspection of the garage premises, a polymer bundle and six polymer bags with slot locks were found, inside of which there was an unknown plant substance, electronic scales, and packing materials.

According to the results of the examination, the seized substance is a narcotic drug — marijuana with a total mass of over 600 grams, which is a large size , — specified in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

With regard to the defendant, on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 20, paragraph «d» part 4 of Art. 20.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed on a large scale”) a criminal case was initiated. The sanction of the article provides for up to 20 years of imprisonment.
