In Sevastopol, the procedure for obtaining a social travel card has been simplified
CrimeaPRESS reports:
From July 1, in Sevastopol, passengers with benefits will be able to use personalized bank cards as a social card. A new procedure for issuing, issuing and servicing electronic means of payment for travel was approved. It involves the use of a personalized or embossed bank card as a social travel card for privileged categories of residents.
When using a bank card as a social card, people do not need to visit the institutions that issue them three times and to which they need to submit applications for issuance. People who have the status of beneficiaries and the right to free travel contact the department of social protection of the population or the MFC, where they write an application to confirm their right to the benefit. At the same time, they can immediately link their bank card as an electronic means of payment. The card can be from any bank that supports the Mir payment system. When confirming your right to a benefit, information about your bank card is immediately transferred to the automated fare payment operator. He links it, and the next working day the person has the right to travel using this bank card. Thus, the period for implementing the benefit is reduced to 14 working days from the date of application– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure Stanislav Tamataev.
The main condition for using a bank card as a preferential card is that it must be personalized or embossed. In addition, a person must have a passport with him in order to confirm his identity and the identity of the bank card when checking the payment.
Those who already use a social card do not need to change it.
