In Sevastopol, the quality of repairs on roads is controlled

Quality control was carried out at the entrance to ST «Gorny». The repair of the road, 200 meters long, began at the beginning of the month. The contractor has already arranged the base and laid the lower layer of asphalt concrete coating.

Like each element of the repaired road, and all types of building materials entering the facility are held input, operational and acceptance control, which is performed by specialists of the Laboratory of the GKU “Directorate for the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the city of Sevastopol”.

At this stage of the work, the specialists have taken the sample (core) of asphalt concrete in order to determine the quality of the work performed.

Asphalt concrete samples — cores or cutting — these are samples of asphalt concrete, which with special devices is removed from the road surface. These samples are necessary in order to check the quality of freshly laid asphalt concrete coating. The contracting organization on this road the day before laid the lower layer of asphalt concrete. Now we determine its seal coefficient, the presence or absence of air voids and compliance with regulatory documents. We carry out such tests at each repair object, -said the deputy head of the department of technical control and the laboratory of the State Public Administration «Directorate for the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the city of Sevastopol» Tatyana Makhnacheva.

With the help of cores, the thickness of the laid asphalt is also checked. It takes one day to check all the parameters. In the event that construction control has comments, the contractor prescribes an order to eliminate them — up to the transfer of the asphalt concrete coating. In the absence of comments, the emptiness from the capture of Kern, the contracting organization must eliminate in seven days.

After checking the quality of the work performed, at the entrance to the “mountain” contractor, the contractor will begin laying the upper layer of asphalt concrete coating and the arrangement of the curbs.

To date, the readiness of this road is 70%. At the facility, 4 units of equipment and 10 road workers work. If construction control does not have comments, we plan to complete the work before the end of the weekSaid Sergey Fedorov, Deputy General Director of Dorotnik LLC.

Recall that this year, within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, it is planned to repair 101 objects — 100 roads and 1 bridge. The road workers work ahead of the pace and have already performed repairs on 80 roads. To date, repair at 6 facilities is being carried out in parallel.
