In Sevastopol — the regional stage of the All-Russian competition «Teacher of the Year of Russia — 2023»

Face-to-face tests of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition «Teacher of the Year of Russia — 2023» have started. Within four days, 18 Sevastopol teachers will take part in the «Lesson» test and conduct classes for schoolchildren with whom they have not worked before. The tests will be held as part of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.

As part of this test, the contestants will demonstrate professional competencies in the field of conducting and analyzing a lesson as the main form of organizing the educational process and the learning activities of students, and a professional jury will evaluate the unique innovative solutions of subject teachers, — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. On the first day of the test, five teachers conducted lessons for students of secondary school No. 58 with in-depth study of socio-economic disciplines. The jury members note the high level of preparation of the contestants.

Participation in the competition is an opportunity to discover something new for yourself and share it with students. Before the start of the lesson, I was worried: a new school, unfamiliar children. But with every minute, the excitement went away, because I understood: contact with the students was established, their perception of the educational material was consciously, with interest. I am satisfied with the result, I will definitely continue the search and implementation of new ideas in order to develop professionally. Why did you participate? Firstly, in order to increase the level of knowledge and skills in the process of preparing for the competition, to get acquainted with the effective pedagogical practices of other participants. For example, gaming technologies, since playing in the best shape motivates children to acquire new knowledge and skills. After the lesson, self-confidence was added, I was convinced that I could do everything and I really could become the teacher of the year. Already now I am using materials from a competitive event at my school, preparing for the next competitive stage, and after that I will prepare for selection for the All-Russian Forum of Class Teachers— says Erlan Kadyrov, a mathematics teacher at the Engineering School.

The next test — «Educational event» — will be held from April 12 to 19, within its framework, teachers will demonstrate professional competencies in the field of organizing and conducting extracurricular activities.

The contestants with the most points will take part in the final test of the regional stage «Master Class». After the jury will determine the winner, who will go to represent Sevastopol at the All-Russian competition.
