In Sevastopol, the rules for implementing regional social supplements to pensions have changed
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At a meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, changes were approved to the draft resolution of the Government of Sevastopol “On amendments to the resolution of the Government of Sevastopol dated December 8, 2022 “On approval of the Rules for the implementation of regional social supplements to pensions.” As explained by the director of the Department of Labor and Social Protection, Elena Sulyagina, changes are being made in accordance with federal legislation.
The draft resolution is aimed at preserving the right of a category of persons aged 14 to 23 years to receive a regional social supplement to a pension in case of loss of a breadwinner and (or) disability during the period of their temporary employment in their free time from study through the system of Russian student teams– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Elena Sulyagina.
Currently, some young people aged 14 to 23 years old who receive a survivor’s pension and (or) disability pension are annually employed through the Russian student brigades system and are ultimately deprived of the right to receive a social supplement to the survivor’s pension and ( or) due to disability, in contrast to those who carry out labor activities in the direction of the state employment service in their free time from study.
