In Sevastopol, the townspeople who defended the city during the Russian spring are marked with memorable medals

Governor Mikhail Podvozhaev on March 18 presented commemorative medals “in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the return of Sevastopol to Russia” to participants in the events of the Russian Spring-Sevastopol residents, who in 2014 defended the city on checkpoints. The solemn meeting on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the reunification of Sevastopol and Crimea with Russia took place in the theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky.

Mikhail Podvozhaev recalled: many of those Sevastopol residents who stood on checkpoints, after that victorious March, went to defend the Donbass-2014 became a year when the revival of the entire Russian world began. And a few years later, when a special military operation began, many defenders of Sevastopol again put their uniforms and went to the front.

One of these heroes was Sevastopol Nikolai Evgenievich Kosatenko. From the first days of the Russian spring, he participated in the law enforcement officer, in 2023, he concluded a contract with the Ministry of Defense, was sent to his zone and heroically died when performing a combat mission in the Donetsk direction. Today, a memorable medal for Nikolai was received by his father Yevgeny Ivanovich Kosatenko, who, together with his son, participated in the events of Russian spring. The hall applauded this family standing.
